"Journey of Discovery"
My Story
My professional and life journey spans multiple countries; varied career paths and professions. It taught me many lessons, specifically about starting over, dealing with change, and facing my many fears. Moving from South Africa, giving up a career, leaving friends and family to explore and experience new frontiers was one of the most difficult, yet exciting and fulfilling decisions. It transformed my life.
Testimonials
Sean has been a great colleague of the team. He has been very dependable and trusting. Amongst his other duties he was actively involved in teaching and training students in our Research Group. His teaching skills were highly appreciated as he was very articulate and engaging. Sean will make an excellent tutor and I will highly recommended him

Self-mastery is the challenge of transforming myself from being my own worst enemy to becoming my greatest ally, and it involves bringing others along on this journey. I belong to a generation born into diversity, and assimilating to new heights while remaining true to my identity has been a struggle. I met Dr Sean while living abroad in the UK; he was diligently working towards his goals and achievements. When he opened his mentoring practice, I knew he would be the one to assist me through my career/academic crisis of feeling stuck. Through bi-weekly meetings, I had the opportunity to share my experiences and overcome barriers, which positively impacted my self-belief and environment. The best moments include finding light and laughter in our discussions and receiving impromptu messages that advocate for my success. My advice for new mentees is to bring talking points and meet at least once a month for a check-in while enjoying the learning experience.

I highly recommend Dr Sean Kassen for the role of academic coach and private tutor. I had the pleasure of working with Sean during my Master of Research course at Imperial College London where he was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the laboratory. Sean has demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain advanced topics and make them accessible to me who had very limited experiences in the field. A reliable and supportive mentor who generously donated his time and expertise which much enhanced my learning experience. I recommend Dr Sean Kassen to you without reservation

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Dr. Sean Kassen. There were many instances during my studies where I felt like giving up , but he always managed to uplift and motivate me to pull through. I am very grateful for the numerous times he encouraged me in support of my education. Without his help and advice, I may never have been able to complete my studies. His generosity and help was and still is an inspiration to me. I could pick the phone up at any anytime and he would always make himself available to help and advise me , not only regarding my academic life, but my personal life as well. He helped me come up with concrete steps to identify my goals and take the steps needed to achieve them and then continuously motivated me through it all. He truly kept me going when I needed it most and he never gave up on me. He eliminated any doubt I had in myself and I would not be where I am today if it were not for him. He was truly my guardian angel
